Speaking of separation boards, what’s the first thing coming to your mind? To me it’s cells in prison. I’ve never been to a prison, but I’m convinced that its separation boards between cells are not made of aluminum sheet. They must be made of steel of the highest strength. Except prison cells, there are many separation boards which can be made of aluminum sheet, like those in prison offices. Of course, there are many other separation boards outside prisons. Let’s check how many of them can be made of aluminum sheet.
In the city I live they invented a new type of bus called BRT. These buses have their own lanes, on which other buses and cars are not allowed to drive. They also have separate stations, usually in the middle of road for each driving direction. Each station has aluminum sheet fences and a small duty room. Passengers have to pay for their travel at the duty room, made of aluminum wallboard, before entering the station via an aluminum alloy channel. While waiting for the bus, they can enjoy video commercials on the aluminum alloy stands. A second usage is road separation. For people who drive to work they have to stay on one side of road, not only because they fear the law, but also because they have no other choice, since the road is divided into two parts with a long line of aluminum separation boards right in the middle. Another usage is familiar to many white collar workers. In offices they are separated by aluminum sheet, which offer them some privacy and avoid possible distraction from other peoples. Fifty years ago, cubicles were invented to free people from depressed working environment and seemingly unobstructed monitor from the boss. However, most companies are using it as an effective method to save space, which makes separation boards more and more popular. In addition, public toilets in schools and some office buildings are also separated with aluminum sheet to keep people’s privacy.
