In Classification of Aluminum Profiles for Doors and Windows we discussed three types of extruded aluminum profiles for doors and windows, the popularity of which is not of reasons. In interior decoration the best choice should have been steel-made items, but their higher prices keeps not a few people off. Aluminum products, cheaper and almost of same properties, wins more popularity in market.
Generally speaking, extruded aluminum profile for doors and windows has four advantages. First, it’s of excellent heat preservation performance. Common aluminum alloy has a heat transfer coefficient of only 207w/(m2k), which is much smaller than most metals and makes aluminum coil a household “heat preservation coil”. Extruded aluminum profile, however, is usually processed into bridge-cutoff aluminum alloy, the heat transfer coefficient of which reaches as low as 2 to 4w/(m2k). That almost means it does not transfer heat at all! Second, owing to ingenious structural design, it boasts extraordinary noise, air, water and wind resistance. Test shows that it can withstand wind of seven degrees (one to ten degrees, ten as the strongest). Third, extruded aluminum profile proves to be wonderful anti-fire material. As a metal, aluminum alloy does not catch fire. Fire retardant is further added to its profile for doors and windows to guarantee its fire resistance effect. Fourth, burglars are kept out of doors and windows equipped with super quality hardware.
